Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Last updated: 3 October 2026. This notice explains how Navigator Driver Training handles personal information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Navigator Driver Training (also known as Navigator Driving School) is the data controller for personal information collected through navigatordrivinguk.com and when you contact us. For any data protection question, email info@navigatordrivinguk.com.

Information we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the service you are interested in, your preferred start date and your message.

If you book training, we may also hold your address, driving licence details and lesson or training records needed to deliver your training.

If you use our live chat, the messages and contact details you send are handled by our chat provider so that we can reply to you.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange and deliver your lessons or training, take payments, send training reports and compliance certificates to the person or business that booked them, and meet our legal obligations.

Our lawful basis

We process enquiry and booking information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract. We rely on our legitimate interests to keep basic business records and keep our website secure, and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records. Where we rely on your consent, such as for photographs or reviews, you can withdraw it at any time.

Photographs, videos and reviews

With your consent, we may take photographs or videos after your driving test and ask you for a review. We may use images, video and sound recordings in social media posts and advertising, but they will not show or identify you unless you have agreed.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with outside agencies, companies or people without your consent, except with service providers who help us run the business (such as our website host, email and live chat providers), where the law requires it, or where there is a clear risk of danger or harm to someone.

Cookies and third-party content

Our website uses essential cookies to work securely, for example to protect the contact form. The live chat widget and the embedded YouTube video are provided by third parties and may set their own cookies when they load.

Keeping your information safe

We take information security seriously and have procedures to reduce the risk of your data being lost, misused or accessed without permission. We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and booking and payment records for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred to you or another organisation. To make a request, email info@navigatordrivinguk.com.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) on 0303 123 1113 or at ico.org.uk.
